Carrie and resin jewels off to Atlanta! Good Luck!

Carrie Notari's resin jewelry is some of the most beautiful I've seen. She's taking all her prize pieces to the Atlanta show. Good luck Carrie! It's the little things that make us strong as a resin community such as wishing Carrie good fortune at the show. Let the universe hear us loud and clear. http://www.fotobot.com/

Comments on Blog Who knew! Resin Jewelry as an art form

I just realized today 11-21-08 that I have comments on my blog! I apologize to those that have left comments and have waited for a response. Shame on me. I need a kid so I would know these type of things, that would be a great business for a high school student. Instead of babysitting or cutting grass they start a "Hire A Kid" and tutor us middle agers that have been left behind in the tech world. I would hire a kid for a couple hours a week to keep my files straight on the computer, show me blog, facebook, web site and other stuff. Anyway back to business while going over the comments I ran across the entry with Shannon's pendant and thought I would see what was new in her shop and again I'm blown away. Go take a look at her shop for more http://www.squareeffects.etsy.com/.

Stunning Peacock Resin Pendant by Etsy Artist

When a compassionate heart saves an animal we tend to do so at any price. Jenny has done that and now she sells her art to pay for that "price".

Jenny's Peacock pendant would make a statement with any outfit. All the gift trade magazines are saying that Owls are the hot decorating item this year and Jenny has one to decorate your body. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6375023

All Resin Artist a Must Read Buyers Market Of American Craft

This is a press release sent to me bythe Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft. I thought some of my customers might be interested.

Juried Pavilion Introduced at the Buyers Market of American Craft

Baltimore, MD (Sept. 26, 2008) -- A new, juried pavilion of museum-quality crafts will be the centerpiece of the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft, Feb. 13-16, 2009, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

“The AmericanStyle Gallery Pavilion fills a need by creating a destination on the tradeshow floor for the galleries that cater to high-end collectors,” said Christine Kloostra, show director. “Our aim is to provide a premium display setting where they can meet the artists who are producing museum-quality and master-level work, such as fine sculpture and glass art.”

With the unveiling of the new pavilion, the winter Buyers Market expands its specialty sections. Retailers already can find the top designers of precious metal and gemstone jewelry in the Premier Jewelry Pavilion, and the best in studio furniture and home accessories in the Inspired Interiors Pavilion.

To ensure the collector quality of works in the AmericanStyle Gallery Pavilion, exhibitors are being reviewed by the internationally recognized Holsten Galleries of Stockbridge, Mass. Holsten Galleries represents leading contemporary glass artists, including Dale Chihuly, William Morris and Christopher Ries.

Featuring home and fashion accessories, art jewelry, wearables, holiday décor and sculpture in wood, metal and clay -- thousands of works by North American craft artists-- the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft is the nation’s largest wholesale tradeshow of fine craft.

Online registration for qualified retailers (credentials required) opened October 1, 2008. Retailers can visit www.americancraft.com to get the best deals on seminar and event packages. Returning buyers can also use online registration to upgrade their status to Preferred Gallery, with benefits including a complimentary Web listing for their stores, free copies of AmericanStyle magazine, advertising discounts and more. Buyers can register today by calling 800-432-7238, ext. 195.

Breathtaking artwork with resin

The way the last post came up in the Google alert it sounded like I did the paintings. I by now means intended to take credit for the work. I just wanted to share the many wonders that can be done with resin. The artist that did the work deserves all the credit.
